Paper Making Workshop
Four Saturdays – February 4, 11, 18, & 25, 2017 (12:00 Noon-4:30 PM)
UVa Education Benefit Eligible*
This four-week course focuses on the craft of creating handmade sheets of paper.
We’ll start with a relatively simple cotton or cotton/abaca paper, then Mitsumata or another Asian fiber, then conclude with something weird and experimental.
The course will be held at UVA’s Ruffin Hall Paper Making Studio.
This is an excellent opportunity for those new to the craft to receive “hands-on” instruction.
In addition, workshop time will be offered to those experienced in molding/casting paper.
Participants can expect to receive 10-20 sheets each.
