This is the winner of the 2007 “Belle Letters” contest….Jeanette Marie Sayers’s “L, O, V, E, and the Other Twenty-two” is a whimsical and romantic exploration of the alphabet, the winner of the Belle Letters contest from the Virginia Arts of the Book Center, letterpress printed in Charlottesville, 2008. Each letter has a story, and some inventive relationship to the other letters. Limited edition of 100.

Signed, letterpress print of the late George Garrett’s poem “Luck’s Shining Child.” Printed in black on natural paper with attractive, light-fast, black paper wrapper (Stonehenge paper) imprinted with silver lettering. Limited edition of 150 in honor of his Virginia Poet Laureateship during the 10th annual Virginia Festival of the Book.

Beautiful, limited edition letterpress work signed by Rita Dove featuring the poem “One Volume Missing” from Dove’s Pulitzer Prize winning poetry collection, Thomas and Beulah, which traces the lives of her grandparents. Handset in Caslon types and printed on Stonehenge paper. A limited edition of 100.

Cherryl Floyd-Miller’s two poems Snake Oil and Voodoo Chicken. The poems won the Companion Poems Broadside contest, Virginia Arts of the Book Center, VFH, Charlottesville, 2006. Broadside designed by Kristin Adolfson and printed by Angie Hogan and Kevin McFadden. Letterpress printed with penciled accents, numbered edition of 70.
