We have a lot of fun at the annual Raucous Auction, but the event is there to do a lot of good. A successful auction helps keep membership dues level, the doors open, and the lights on so VABC remains accessible to working artists and anyone interested in books, paper, and printmaking.
What will YOU donate to this year’s Raucous Auction, November 13, 2015? Here’s what we’re looking for:
–new prints or books you’ve made, especially those made at the VABC this year
–special experiences (“apartment in Paris,” “paper share,” “will bind a special book”)
–donated offers from members, friends, local organizations, or businesses
-framed artwork or prints, rare books or collectors items
Contact Janet Eden with ideas; forms for your donation can be provided by Kevin McFadden. We will be collecting items between now and November 1. The donor submits a value for all donations and receives a tax-recognition letter from Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
