The Virginia Arts of the Book Center is conducting this survey to assess the interest level in screen printing within the Charlottesville area community. The VABC is a community of artists exploring books, paper, letterpress, and printmaking through our hands-on studio of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. We engage in humanities and arts projects with a community-access approach and serve as a resource for individual artists. We exist to provide the public a direct experience with book arts.

We are currently exploring the idea of expanding our offerings to include screen printing equipment. (To be clear, screen printing in this case can definitely include printing posters/broadsides, textiles, and so on. It does not have to be for a book!).

We would like to hear from as many community members who are interested in that as possible! Please fill out this short survey (you can skip any questions marked ‘optional’ if they don’t apply to your experience level).

After you’re done, please share it with any of your friends who might be interested in screen printing as well. We can only move forward with this expansion if we have a clear sense of a critical mass of community members would want to make use of the equipment.
